Please see if you have the option to use "IMAP+" for protocol instead of
IMAP, this tends to help with refreshing and general performance for
IMAP.

  Takes forever to retrieve emails, while also forever refreshing
  'personal/indox' with 0% of completeness.

  Also that every time I closed Evolution by hitting the "x" button,
  Evolution just hangs with a grayed out window forever. And I always
  have to kill it in command line.
