[Bug 880254] Re: Totem do no longer start from nautilus or any other app

I had the same problem and found this solution:

1) Click the Ubuntu logo start icon and bring up the dash.
2) Type "menu" on the search field and open the "Main Menu" application.
3) On the "Menus:" panel on the left click on "Sound and Video" at the bottom.
4) On the "Items:" panel on the right right-click on the Movie Player (Totem) icon and chose "Revert to original"
5) Close the "main Menu" application.

Now it should work again. The catch is that you have again just one
window to play videos. I hope it helps.

Title:
Totem do no longer start from nautilus or any other app

Status in “totem” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
This is a result of the upgrade. I have added –no-existing-session to the totem start options.
Now I can't start totem and I have no idea on how to actually change that option anymore.
I can start totem from the command line.
