Title:
internet connection sharing not working after update to 11.10

Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Ethernet connection will not maintain a consistent outgoing connection
(constantly resets) after following guide at
  https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Internet/ConnectionSharing. The
connection works for a few seconds before it starts reseting.

  Ubuntu Release: 11.10
  network-manager-gnome: 0.9.1.90-0ubuntu6
expected behavior: internet connection from wireless to be shared over ethernet without resetting
What happened instead: connection maintained for 1-2 minutes then resets every couple seconds.
