[Bug 882793] Re: record/track changes data not redable by Microsoft Word when document saved as a doc file

 

Well, my apologies. I created a file to demonstrate this problem, and I
am unable to reproduce the bug myself. In retrospect, I believe the
problem may have been created by saving the file as a .doc file in
LibreOffice instead of the original .docx file, which may have caused
problems with Word re-opening the file.

Not a bug! I'll mark it 'Invalid.'

Bug description:
  To reproduce this bug:

  1. Obtain a doc file (Microsoft Word format)
  2. Open the doc file in LibreOffice Writer
  3. Click on Edit -> Changes -> Record
  4. Make changes to the text
  5. Save file as a doc file (I used Word XP file format)
  6. Open file in Microsoft Word
  7. Notice that changes to not appear when Word opens the file that was edited in LibreOffice
