Title:
  Black screen while applications are active and have focus

Status in “gnome-screensaver” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  After touching the touchpad the screensaver stops, but the screen is
  black. I managed to find the password text field by observing the
  mouse cursor, which changed above it. After typing the password, the
  screen was unlocked and mouse cursor changed above the elements, an
  application had focus (Google Chrome) -- but the screen was still
  black.
