[Bug 880310] Re: gEdit: Current way of Changing text encoding is annoying for long-time users
OK. I haven't noticed this option in Open Dialog, because always open
files from file manager. Thank you!

Bug description:
I am a long-time user of gEdit and I still don't understand: why can't
I change text encoding from editor's menu as I can do in any browser
for example. If "it's not a bug, it's a feature request" please
explain WHY?!
