Same here - assuming you mean eog (eye of gnome)

I have switched to mirage - this works pretty well


Here is what I get when I try running eog with debug turned on:


~$ eog --gtk-debug=all Pictures/Wallpaper/beach.jpg
Loading module list: canberra-gtk-module:canberra-gtk-module
gtk-modules setting changed to: 

It then hangs

Bug description:
  Image viewer is not working in Oneiric. It just doesn't respond or
  hangs on startup. Shotwell viewer is however working.
