Title:
  a part of the bottom panel missing after a context menu is launched

Status in “gnome-panel” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I am using Ubuntu 11.04. The version of gnome-panel is
  1:2.32.1-0ubuntu6.5. I expected the bottom panel of the desktop (see
  the attached image) and the workspace switcher to remain intact during
  and after I launch the context menu of an application. Instead, after
  I right-clicked and before the menu appeared a part of the bottom
  panel right under the context menu vanished making the underlying
  fragment of the desktop background image visible. The part of the
  panel was missing after closing the context menu until I restored its
  background by right-clicking on the bottom panel, launching its
  context menus.
