Message #44061
[Bug 655781] Re: eog uses mnemonic "f" in view-menu twice
Marking this as Fix Released, as the Oneiric version of EOG, 3.2.0 uses
B for Best fit and F for Fullscreen, thus F is only used once as a
mnemonic in the menu.
** Changed in: eog (Ubuntu)
Status: Confirmed => Fix Released

Title:
eog uses mnemonic "f" in view-menu twice
Status in Eye of GNOME:
Unknown
Status in “eog” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: eog
eog uses the mnemonic "f" (meaning: when navigating with keyboard-only through the menus wanting to hit a shortcut using alt+menomic key) in the view-menu twice, once for "f_ullscreen" and another time for "best f_it".
one problem is that the shortcut can't be used.
the other resulting problem (even more annyoing) is that you cannot
set the keyboard shortcut for "fullscreen" to "f". in fact: if you
change the keyboard-shortcut (by hovering over the element in the menu
with the mouse and pressing the wanted shortcut) for "best fit" (by
default: "f") to anything else, you won't be able to change it back.
this is really just a papercut, a bug so tiny maybe even i could fix
it (even though i'm not a coder). please change the menu-accelerators
to something else.
edit: using eog on maverick with all updates installed.
