Hi,
This is still true in Oneiric.
For example if you want to see the description of LibreOffice in the french version, you have to expand the window !
This is not very convenient and it might be good to correct this for the LTS.

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: software-center

  Very long descriptions of packages get cut in the middle, giving a
  very weird effect. Like the package Gshutdown when software center is
  not maximised:

  And advanced shutdown utility which allows you to...le the shutdown or
  the restart of your computer.

  I would be better if this was to be split over several lines or capped
  at the end instead of the middle.
