Title:
network-manager drops wifi connection and fails to reconnect
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager
Using Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty) with Unity, wifi connection is reliably
lost after some time. Network-manager fails to re-establish the
connection; nm-applet icon spins interminably. The applet menu shows
the access point as "connected", but no connection through to internet
is available. Disconnect/reconnect using menu fails. Network-manager
requests WEP pass after long delay, but still does not connect. Only
solution is to re-start Natty.
Same hardware, same connection - no problem with maverick, no problem
with oneiric.
