Title:
Constantly, but randomly, power-manager warns me that my battery is
critically low and will be hibernating unless power is plugged in.
During this I know the battery is 100% because when I click `OK` the
battery applet then shows the correct information
Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Seems to be more frequent when I am plugging in or unplugging the A/C
adapter. The battery applet displays a dead battery icon, then power-
manager window message notifies me that battery is critically low!
without plugging in power computer will hibernate. However this is a
false message, the hardware light is blue ( signaling a fully charged
battery, and as soon as the message is closed, the battery applet
returns to the correct status). I have done my own research on google
to no availability. Most of the "fixes" were to make a script that
would run cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state and that would give power-
manager the correct info, however that is not the case. I wrote the
script and added it is a cron job / startup program, still occurs.
