[Bug 676778] Re: Battery icon not refreshed after full charge (shows empty battery instead of full battery)
My laptop has a BIOS controlled LED to indicate when the battery is
charging as apposed to being fully charged. When my laptop is either
discharging or charging the battery indicator in gnome 3 or unity is
correctly showing the battery state. Once the battery reaches a fully
charged state, the battery indicator switches to an empty battery
indicator with a charging indicator. This issue started for me in
Maverick (10.10) and has persisted through 11.04 and onto 11.10.

Title:
Battery icon not refreshed after full charge (shows empty battery
instead of full battery)
Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Expected: a full battery icon shown in the indicator applet
Actual: an empty battery icon shown while the battery is actually full
Description:
My battery was almost empty so I closed the lid and charged it for a few hours (it's set for the screen to go blank on a closed lid, and it locks after some time of inactivity). After charging it, I disconnected it from the charger and opened it. My battery was full but the battery icon still shows an empty battery. The battery monitor from Docky shows the correct power level for the battery though, so the indicator applet should be able to read the power level from the computer correctly.
Indicator Applet 0.4.6
