Message #45760
[Bug 882740] Re: only the 1st unplayed song is played in play queue
apport-collected info for oneiric i386 and some more data added.
** Description changed:
Affected configurations:
Ubuntu 11.04 (amd64)
banshee 2.0.0-2ubuntu2
- Ubuntu 11.10 (amd64)
+ Ubuntu 11.10 (i386, amd64)
banshee 2.2.0-1ubuntu2
+
+ ---
+
+ Additional info: on amd64 systems my Banshee music library is (was) big
+ enough, last.fm scrobbling is (was) on; but this has nothing to do with
+ Ubuntu 11.10 i386 which I ran in VirtualBox and hav reproduced that
+ issue succesfully in it.
---
Sometimes, when a number of songs is added from library to "play queue" and playback is started, only the first unplayed song in the queue is played and then playback is stopped; that 1st song (that has just been listened) is not grayed out as listened, but remains black as new in the queue.
After double-click on the 1st or the 2nd song (which are not greyed-out as listened) the playback goes well and doesn't stop on the 1st, 2nd or whatever song.
- Additional info: my Banshee music library is big enough, last.fm
- scrobbling is on.
+ Another great useful way of reproducing the bug (more similar to duplicate bug #595600, some steps seem to be not important, but anyway it worked for me):
+ 1) get the Banshee installed;
+ 2) have some music albums imported into it (well, I think that 5 albums is more than enough);
+ 3) selected one album in the music library, right-click on it and select "add it to play queue";
+ 4) double-click on the "play queue" in the left panel;
+ 5) the music should start playing;
+ 6) try to move through the songs in the play queue with "play the previous item" and "play the next item" buttons;
+ 7) try to move within the current song by dragging the slider;
+ 8) well, you don't need to listen all the songs here; just move through the play queue to the song before the last;
+ 9) you can minimize the window and enjoy the music until the music is over;
+ 3) selected another album in the music library, right-click on it and select "add it to play queue";
+ 4) select any song from the freshly added album in the played queue by single click on it;
+ 4) double-click on the "play queue" in the left panel;
+ 5) get back to the library, select the album you've just added and select any song in it;
+ 6) you can minimize the window and enjoy the music;
+ 7) WHAT?! Only the first song from the newly-added album is played back and no more!
