Title:
totem-plugin-viewer segfault when playing embedded media in firefox
Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: firefox
On maverick amd64, when playing the attached html and ogg file (from lp:qa-regression-testing) accessed via apache (ie http://127.0.01./...) , firefox will transfer all the data locally, but if you then click 'play' in the media player, totem crashes:
[ 4715.613132] totem-plugin-vi[6637]: segfault at 8 ip 00000000004125e3 sp 00007fff2041f5e0 error 4 in totem-plugin-viewer[400000+3c000]
This was tested on lucid and maverick amd64 with the 3.6.11 build in
the ubuntu-mozilla-security ppa. This time I it failed with an avi
file when I clicked Reload during the transferring of the file, then
clicked play (the green triangle) in the media player. This will
sometimes work. If I clear the cache and then navigate to the page, it
works. It does seem to be related to the embedded js player in the
attached html.
