[Bug 880231] Re: User can edit network connections w/o root password
This is by design. Users in the admin group can change network settings without being prompted to authenticate.
This is controlled by the policykit file included in the policykit-desktop-privileges package. If this isn't compatible with your local site policies, please feel free to create a custom policykit configuration file.
