Message #46390
[Bug 880834] Re: URLs in message body not opening in browser
The default web browser is already listed as Firefox. Clicking on links
in Pidgin works as expected, they open in Firefox but the ones from
Thunderbird do not.

Title:
URLs in message body not opening in browser
Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
When a message contains URLs, thunderbird successfully identifies and
shows them as blue, underlined text. However, when they are clicked
on with the mouse, they do not launch a browser or even open a new tab
in an already open browser. I would expect that blue, underlined URLs
in the body of a message would open in the browser.
