Title:
ctrl+t while focused on desktop removes it
Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Steps:
Click on desktop to give it focus
Press ctrl+t (the 'open new tab' shortcut)
Expected:
Nothing? Maybe a new Nautilus window?

Desktop goes white. New Nautilus window appears showing desktop contents, labelled 'x-nautilus-desktop'
Have to run nautilus -q, then open nautilus again to fix it.
Trvially repeatable on Ubuntu 11.10
