  what happened to my launcher & standard buttons in desktop or in menu?

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  my launcher has gone, so is my buttons-like "shut down" or "volume
  controller". I think the problem is in compiz. How can i regain the
  earlier buttons & launchers as well?
