Nautilus : the new default thumbnails size wastes screen space with
not other advantage

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Binary package hint: nautilus
Hi !
This is a request for changing the default value
"schemas/apps/nautilus/thumbnail_size" from 64 (new default value in
the current gnome, in Maverick) back to 96 (former value in Lucid for
instance).
Indeed : this new value makes the thumbnails smaller, but the grid is
still as wide as it used to, which makes the space between icons huge
while bringing less information than before.
Is it possible to set this default value back to 96 ? ... or to fix
the excessive spacing ?
Cheers !
