Message #48575
[Bug 889262] Re: gedit crashes unexpected
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, you report is missing a stacktrace. Without
that, it doesn't contain enough information for a developer to begin
work on it.
Please enable Apport (open a Terminal, run "sudo gedit
/etc/default/apport", change "enabled=0" to "enabled=1" and save the
file; see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport#How_to_enable_apport for more
details), and then trigger the crash. You will be given the opportunity
to submit crash data to Launchpad and create a new bug report. If it
doesn't happen, open your file manager, navigate to /var/crash directory
and open the crash report you wish to submit.
I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more
efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
