Title:
smb:// Desktop Icons fail to open with "This file is of an unknown
type" error
Status in GVFS:
Unknown
Status in “gvfs” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gvfs
(Ubuntu 9.10)
I opened Nautilus, entered a share address like "smb://nas/music".
Once the files showed up, a desktop icon appeared for the share.
Some hours later, I clicked on the desktop icon and got this error:
Could not display "smb://nas/music".
The file is of an unknown type.
If I open up Nautilus, then click on the share in the left pane, it
will load the share, and then the Desktop icon will work again.
