[Bug 586480] Re: evolution - editing calendar events should require only a single click
Thanks a lot for reporting this, however since Evolution is no longer on
the default Ubuntu CD, this no longer counts as a paper cut.

Title:
evolution - editing calendar events should require only a single click
Status in The Evolution Mail & Calendaring Tool:
Confirmed
Status in One Hundred Paper Cuts:
Invalid
Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu:
Triaged
Bug description:
It is very hard to edit calendar events in Evolution because the following two conditions must be met:
1- the event must be selected (requires 1 click and waiting a small amount of time)
2- you must then double-click in place (without triggering a drag!) to open the event editor dialog
Total: 3 clicks (which causes a lot of confusion, see upstream
report). But there's no reason that it shouldn't be a single click
(unless it's a click+drag, in which case it wouldn't open the event
editor dialog).
