[Bug 787298] Re: The user agent is generic Linux and not Ubuntu 11.04 Natty

 

Since Firefox 4, Mozilla has changed the way useragent strings work. It
is no longer possible to add a vendor-specific extension. Please see the
bottom of
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Gecko_user_agent_string_reference It
suggests using an HTTP header (using a Firefox extension) to get a
similar result.

  Binary package hint: firefox

  In firefox 4 the user agent string says just Linux. It should say the
  OS name, version, and architecture (Ubuntu Natty 11.04 x86_64).
