[Bug 887440] Re: Firefox hangs in Oneric

I got the same problem here, so by now, I am using the firefox nightly
build which behaves much better, but isn't as responsive as firefox 7 on
natty in comparison.

Chrome woks fine with oneiric, seamonkey does as well, only ff7 does
not.

One thing that might influence this is a client x509 certificate. We use
this to authenticate against an internal Apache. Since I need this for
my daily work, I have not compared with a situation without client
certificate.

Title:
  Firefox hangs in Oneric

Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
  Opinion

Bug description:
Every other page firefox will hang for approximately 1 - 2 minutes.
There is no indication that the same page hangs
It does not come regularly (sometimes, calling 10 to 20 pages works fine, sometimes it happens after the second page, no longer than 30 pages called)
System Monitor indicates firefox process being Sleeping with poll_schedule_timeout (not very informative)
  Compiz renders the windows gray
I happened only after upgrading to Oneric

Chromium does not show any of these signs (I did a parallel test on
  this)
