Title:
Some Packages Refuse to Install
Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: software-center
I tried to install Kexi and the SQLite database browser. The Software
Center will not all them to install. I don't care about security
certificates. This is a MAJOR USABILITY PROBLEM. Most user will not
know to go the command line and install software from there.
This needs to be fixed. I call it a bug. Either remove the packages
that will not install without a certificate or fix the problem so this
doesn't happen anymore.
I'm planning on training people how to install software. This puts a
big roadblock in my way. I can resolve this issue, but most people
will become completely lost and frustrated when they can't install
software.
