  gwibber extremely slow and irresponive

Status in “gwibber” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Since upgrade to ubuntu 11.10 gwibber is irresponsive and slow.
  Between opening the window and the actual messages being showed, it
  takes about 4 minutes. Then scrolling down a bit (with the slider or
  the mouse) does not even work
