Title:
  Compose Email - Plain Text is anything but Plain

Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  When composing a plain text email any text pasted into the email is
  treated differently from text that is typed. This means that it can
  become impossible to actually alter the text in any meaningful way,
  and that the appearance of the email when composing differs greatly
  from what is sent.

  For example:

  http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2011/11/rootkit-brouhaha/

  If you sloppily select the first paragraph to copy you will likely
  select the story title and the tags and next/previous story links.
  When you paste this into the email, the href status of the links
  remains (they are blue) and much of the text is UNDELETABLE. I have
  attached an image of the pasted text.

  Compare this to the default 'Text Editor' application available on
  Ubuntu (Accessories->Text Editor on a default install). When I paste
  this same text into a new plain text document in that application the
  text is exactly as I would expect it to be:

   * There is no formatting
   * There are no hrefs
   * There are no 'super' returns that take a massive amount of vertical space
   * None of the text is undeletable
   **There is no way to tell the difference between the pasted text and text that I have written**

  If someone selects PLAIN TEXT then they want PLAIN TEXT. The Evolution
  compose email editor is broken.
