[Bug 365461] Re: Evolution hang on startup
I just had this problem on 10.04 LTS.
The workaround for me, from reading previous comments, was:
* Launch Evolution (freezes)
* Kill evolution-alarm-notify (continues to load normally)
* FIle -> Backup Settings... (Follow the procedure)
"saving the backup causes Evolution to somehow clean up its indices,
which solves the problem "
