Title:
software-center crashed with DBusException in call_blocking():
org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible
causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the
message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout
expired, or the network connection was broken.

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Happens everytime while trying to use Sc except possibly the first
  time on a fresh boot

  Test case:
From a fresh boot open Sc, if it opens fairly quickly tou may be able to install or remove a package

Close Sc, re-open. Takes quite some time to open, this crash appears before Sc window opens.
Sc is unable to install or remove any packages.

Doing a full reboot may allow Sc to work once, if not then deleting
~/.cache/software-center followed by a full reboot will start the
  whole process over
