[Bug 720653] Re: Display fails to sleep if "Do nothing" is selected for when laptop lid is closed
Either this bug, or bug 736606, is no longer valid. Bug 736606 complains
that the option does not exist.

Title:
Display fails to sleep if "Do nothing" is selected for when laptop lid
is closed
Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
If "Do nothing" is selected for "When laptop lid is closed" and the
laptop lid is closed, the external monitor never goes to sleep. If the
lid is left open, the external monitor goes to sleep as it should.
To reproduce:
1. Set "Do nothing" for "When laptop lid is closed". If it's not listed, see here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1319921
2. Set "Put display to sleep when inactive" to 0:01.
3. Disable screensaver if it's enabled.
4. Close the laptop lid.
5. Wait a few minutes.
Nothing happens.
If however the laptop lid is open, the monitor goes to sleep as it
should.
