[Bug 894239] Re: Nautilus color gone; folder & file icons all look the same; cannot distinguish between them

I use automatic login since I am the only user/account on this desktop.
The problem happened after each closing and reopening of nautilus under
my login. I did not try 'sudo nautilus'. The wrong icon (file icon) was
also displaying for the two folders on my Unity desktop. After rebooting
11.10, nautilus behaved normally and has continued to work as expected.
Sorry...since the problem seems to be permanently resolved, I cannot
create a screenshot. Corrupt memory or cache?

Title:
Nautilus color gone; folder & file icons all look the same; cannot
  distinguish between them

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
In 3.2.1 Nautilus, the only colour to be found is on the back &
forward arrows. Everything else is black & white. Folder icons are no
longer folders. As with file icons, the folder icons look like a sheet
of paper with the top, right corner folded over (dog-eared).
