  package python-gmenu 2.30.0-0ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade:
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit
  status 2

Status in “gnome-menus” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-menus

This package failed to install when upgrading to 10.04. after this
upgrade, every time I login I have to go to Appearance Preferences and
change Visual Effects to Normal. If I don't do this every window is
missing title bar, thus I cannot move or resize them.

  ProblemType: Package
  DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04
  Package: python-gmenu 2.30.0-0ubuntu4
  ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-21.32-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2
  Uname: Linux 2.6.32-21-generic i686
  Architecture: i386
  Date: Fri Apr 30 14:57:59 2010
ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2
  InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.5)
  SourcePackage: gnome-menus
Title: package python-gmenu 2.30.0-0ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2

  ...

Got the same behavior with Visual Effects (and window title bars) in
other machine after upgrading to 10.04, so it seems that the error in
this package is not related to the behavior described earlier
