Title:
Keyboard-Settings - Shortcuts - Custom Shortcuts deletion does not
actually delete
Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
When you create a custom shortcut, with a key binding, and later delete it, the item is removed from the list but the key binding is not removed
Steps to recreate:
1. add a custom shortcut with a key binding
2. make sure the key binding works
3. remove the item from the menu with the minus button
4. try your key binding again
The hackish work around i found for this was:
1.assuming the name of your first shortcut was "Shutdown"
2.after you deleted "Shutdown" create a new shortcut with the same exact name(doing this disables the key binding)
3.you can now delete the second shortcut to "completely" remove the key binding
