is the ipod detected on nautilus? Could you please run : udisks --dump
&> udisks.txt; reproduce the issue and attach that resulting file to the

  Ipod Touch 2nd Generation/ 3rd Generation Does not show up in
  Rhythmbox

Bug description:
  Any time the Portable Players - Ipod Module is loaded even with root
  privileged it fails to detect the iPod only allowing the change of
  Name and not device. And then never loads once installed.

  A lsusb shows:
  Bus 002 Device 005: ID 05ac:1293 Apple, Inc. iPod Touch 2.Gen
