Thank you for your bug report, assuming that you use autologin the issue
was a lightdm one fixed since

Bug description:
I installed Gnome-Shell in 11.10 beta 64, and after rebooting, it
doesn't remember the gnome session and reverts back to unity. Happens
every reboot. Let me know what info you may need.
