Message #55109
[Bug 900908] Re: Default-application-chooser doesent do anything
Thank you for your bug report, could you give exact steps describing
what you do, what formats you use, where you change the handler and what
you get and what else you would like to see? The default application
only change specific mimetype, i.e the ogg handler for music and the png
handler for photos, see bug #876897

Title:
Default-application-chooser doesent do anything
Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I tried to edit what applications to be default in my Unbuntu setup, but apperantly it does not apply my new settings through out the system. Eg. I used to have banshee as my default music player, but now I want to use the Movie player to play music. I change the settings in my system settings but still banshee opens every time I try to open a music file.
Same applies for movies, which used to be played in Movie player, but should now open in VLC. They still opens in Movie Player though
