[Bug 527938] Re: [upstream] Writer crashes when trying to set up Bibliography Database soffice.bin crashed with SIGABRT in __kernel_vsyscall()
Confirming that this is still happening with LibreOffice 3.4.4 OOO340m1
(Build:402) under Ubuntu 11.10. The fix of installing openoffice.org-
base still works. I agree, I'm also sad to see that nothing seems to
have happened in 10 months. Maybe it should just be set as a dependency
until the bug can be fixed?

3) What is expected to happen in Ubuntu 11.04, LibreOffice Writer via
the Terminal:
lowriter -nologo
click Tools -> Bibliography Database is that it does not crash.
4) What happens instead is it crashes every time. This is a default
install with no extra extensions installed.
WORKAROUND: Installing openoffice.org-base makes the issue go away.
Original Reporter Comments: The message on the console is: terminate called after throwing an instance of 'com::sun::star::loader::CannotActivateFactoryException'
Reproduced also with 3.2.0rc4-1ubuntu
