Re: [Bug 900593] Re: libreoffice calc read-error format error discovered in sub-document content.xml
Dear Christopher,
Thank you so much for attending so promptly to my LibreOffice problem.
I'm sorry I could not provide a good/(pre-error)/ version of the file
because I had deleted it. As such, I could not replicate the error. Then
I thought I could use the backup copy but discovered my backup program
had just overwritten it :p I'll certainly re-post if the error occurs again.
BTW, I'm really impressed with apport, Ubuntu and LibreOffice. Since I
switched to Ubuntu and LibreOffice, I only use Windows to edit
Powerpoints and convert them to a format I can use in Ubuntu LibreOffice
Impress. Now, if only LibreOffice Impress 3D transitions/(ogltrans)/
work in Unity...
Sincerely,
Peter Chang

Title:
libreoffice calc read-error format error discovered in sub-document
content.xml
Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I had previously saved an .ods file but when when I reopened it, I got
the following error message:
"Libreoffice 3.4
Read-Error.
Format error discovered in the file in sub-document content.xml at 2,135632 (row, col)."
After I deleted the file, I created another file with the same name,
with a similar content, and saved it. When I reopened it, the same
error occurred. This is frustrating because I have been using the same
file since OpenOffice and then Libreoffice. No problem until recently
when I upgraded to Ubuntu 11.10.
Hope someone can help me get this fixed soon. TQ.
