Title:
password with @ flashes login screen

Status in “lightdm” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Hi,

My password has an '@' in it (as one of the last characters). When I
login into Ubuntu 11.10 (64-bits), the screen flashes when I reach the
'@' during entering the password. The first characters of the password
go alright, but as soon as I press '@', the screen flashes and return
to the login screen. After that I have to type in my complete
password. The second time it goed alright without any problems.

I did a fresh install of 11.10 and I'm applying all updates when they
  come available.

If you need extra info, please let me know.

  Kind Regards,
  Marco van der Heide
