Message #56004
[Bug 901874] Re: Cannot rename file names after hitting f2.
Yes, i have this problem with all the views.
I do have some messages concerning nautilus like:
Initializing nautilus-gdu extension
Initializing nautilus-dropbox 0.6.8
** (nautilus:1888): DEBUG: Got notification of SyncDaemon startup in NameOwnerChanged
and tons of these:
(nautilus:1888): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_value_get_object: assertion
`G_VALUE_HOLDS_OBJECT (value)' failed
I have to say also that my laptop is brand new and the installation of ubuntu went well.
I had the exact same problem on my old laptop and I did not see the problem right after i installed ubuntu on the new laptop.
I think it appeared after I installed a package but I don't know which one.

Title:
Cannot rename file names after hitting f2.
Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
After hitting f2 to rename a file, i cannot move the cursor with the arrows or even start typing letters.
The root name remains selected until i click on another file.
I have to log out and log in again to be able to edit file names. But this works only once. After renaming one file,
renaming another one is again impossible.
