[Bug 886468] Re: Problem to read PDF

Have the same problem: "Scrolling pages with touchpad is not very smooth
- pages are scrolled with jumps".

Probably it's because of the smooth-scroll-like-macOS they want to give
us. I love smooth-scrolling and I want it, but this problem is a big
fail to users like me that read a lot of papers :S

I need to use the mouse, because it is a pain using touchpad+evince.

Two finger scrolling works poorly - utouch to blame

Title:
  Problem to read PDF

Status in “evince” package in Ubuntu:
  In Progress

Bug description:
  Hi !

I've got a problem with Document viewer 3.2.1.

Indeed, i can't scroll the pages of PDF files with the touch pad. It's not fluid at all and i have to use a mouse.
It doesn't work with Unity and Gnome-Shell interfaces.
Note that it's not a touch pad problem because it works good with my other, OS Windows 7.

  Ubuntu 11.10
  Kernel 3.0.0.12
  Version : X86_64

  PC :
  Asus X5DIE

PS : Sorry for my bad english but i'm french.

  Thanks for all.

  Pierre.
