[Bug 902423] Re: Internet connection is fine but my Ubuntu Software center cannot download anything giving me this error: "Failed to download package files"

 

Try

first run the following command from a terminal
sudo apt-get update

check for any errors in the output. If you find any issue report here.

If the above command runs fine then again try to install a package from
software center
