Seeing the same after installing A1. Any change I'm trying to make to
the network settings through nm-applet results in a prompt asking for
root's password, see attached screenshot. I'll also attach the Ubiquity
logs.

Bug description:
  when connecting to a wireless network,  gksu asks for password root ,
  but root has no password. A workaround is to set a password for root
  then I was able to connect.
