Title:
Can't security-lock screen from Take a Break screen
Status in GNOME Control Center:
Fix Released
Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
When gnome-typing-monitor enforces a break, there is no way to
security-lock the screen from the Take A Break screen. There should
be a Lock Screen button on the Take A Break screen. At the moment, if
a typing break starts but you want to go away from your computer to
take the break and need to lock your computer in order to do this,
you're a bit stuck.
A workaround is to enable the Postpone Break option, as this lets you
postpone the break, lock the screen and go away. However, I don't
know of a workaround if breaks cannot be postponed (short of killing
gnome-typing-monitor from the console).
There should maybe also be an option to always require a password when
the take a break period ends.
