Clicking the New Separator button does nothing in Oneiric, but Alacarte
does not crash for me.

  Cannot add a separator into a menu

Status in “alacarte” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: alacarte

  As alacarte does not add separators into menus, I launched it from
  terminal and here is what I get when I click on the button to create a
  separator:
