Title:
In IRC windows, the text entry area doesn't force word wrap

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
When using Empathy to chat in an IRC channel, the text entry area
doesn't force word wrap while typing. As a result, the window just
expands horizontally until you're finished typing. Expected behavior
would match that of normal chat windows, which force word wrap and
  maintain window dimensions.
