Uri Shabtay, Launchpad is geared towards reporting bugs against Ubuntu,
and other GNU/Linux based operating systems and packages. Since what you
submitted is not really a bug but rather an idea to improve LibreOffice,
you are invited to post your idea at http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help

Title:
auto update feature for non-linux operating systems

Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  hey folks,

Libreoffice should use (within non-linux operating systems) an auto
  update feature.

Same as happened in Firefox, whereas the update is automatic, or as in
VLC, in which the update is a notification.

I believe that the Firefox mechanism is better, yet i know it's quite
  a hassle to create.

  cheers
