[Bug 898431] Re: gedit crashed with SIGABRT in g_assertion_message()

version:
gtk+3.0 (3.2.2-2ubuntu2) precise; urgency=low
* debian/patches/git_invalid_unref_call.patch:
- git patch to fix a segfault in the fileselector added in the recent
version (lp: #897891)
* debian/patches/git_fix_appchooser_segfault.patch,
debian/patches/git_fix_appchooser_button_segfault.patch:
- git backports to fix segfaults in gtk_app_chooser (lp: #864249, #861605)

Bug description:
precise alpha 1 on Acer Aspire 5253
gedit /etc/samba/smb.conf
opened O.K., set network name, bconf to start of search list O.K.
tried to do a file open (which would be a second file) so I could copy some user info. Same as I always do.
got this crash. gedit would not open the second file.
