can you attach mission control  log with the bug report ?
you can get ot from the help ==> debugg menu. first clear the log and than try to reproduce the bug/:)

  IRC tabs don't close when I quit

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Since upgrading to Oneiric, quitting Empathy only disconnects me from
  the server; I need to manually close the various chat windows/tabs I
  have open.  In <=Natty, quitting the app would close all windows/tabs
  as I expect.
